About us

Sports for Hope and Independence (SHI) is a social service organisation founded in 2016. SHI is working for social development that provides sports and recreational activities to the communities, offering the opportunities to play and grow. SHI uses internationally proven methods to use sports as a tool for child and youth development, girl’s empowerment and life skills development of the persons with disabilities.

SHI promotes Universal and Olympic values of friendship, the joy of effort, fair play, respect, excellence, and balance of body, spirit, will, and mind as well as interdependence, sharing, love, tolerance, equality amongst others.


Mission

Our mission is to run consistent and sustainable sports for development program providing access to opportunities to participate in recreational and competitive sporting activities while contributing to sustainable development goal of the communities.


Vision

Our vision is “using the power of sport to end violence, discrimination, and disadvantage. Promoting “Sport for All” – a sustainable and community-wide sporting culture whereby people of all age groups participate actively in sports in quest of sound physical and psychological health as well as develop positive community spirit towards development.

Our Purpose
