Sports for Hope and Independence (SHI) Bangladesh proudly celebrates our nation’s first-ever participation in the Homeless World Cup, where our team made history with an extraordinary performance. Competing against some of the world’s best, our players secured 7 remarkable victories—defeating football giants Australia, Hungary, Italy, Argentina, Northern Ireland, Germany, and Brazil. After a thrilling tiebreaker against Namibia, we finished an impressive 6th in the Hero Generation Cup, marking a groundbreaking milestone for Bangladesh in this prestigious tournament.
More Than Football: A Life-Changing Journey
This experience transcended sport—it was about hope, resilience, and transformation. For our players, many of whom have overcome immense challenges, the Homeless World Cup was not just a competition but a platform to redefine their futures. Through football, they gained confidence, global exposure, and a renewed sense of purpose.
