Sports for Hope and Independence Successfully Concludes Amputee Football Training Camp and Exhibition Match

On October 10th, Sports for Hope and Independence Bangladesh (SHI) marked the successful completion of its Amputee Football Coaches Training and Football Camp with an exhilarating Exhibition Match featuring both men’s and women’s teams. The event showcased the remarkable progress of players and coaches alike, highlighting the growing potential of amputee football in Bangladesh.

We extend our deepest appreciation to:

  • Coach Developer Harry Smith for his expert guidance
  • All trainee coaches for their commitment to skill development
  • The determined amputee football players who inspired with their passion
  • International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Bangladesh for their invaluable support
  • World Amputee Football Federation (WAFF) and Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) for their partnership in making this initiative possible

This program has strengthened the foundation for amputee football in Bangladesh, empowering athletes and equipping coaches to further develop the sport. The energy and resilience displayed during the exhibition match proved that disability is no barrier to excellence.

SHI Bangladesh remains dedicated to expanding opportunities in adaptive sports, fostering inclusivity, and creating platforms for athletes to thrive.
