Sport is beyond winning medals and championships. Sport is one of the most unique tools for development and Peace building in society. Ms. Hyunju Lee, Former Officer (Sport on Development and Peace) at United Nations Office on Sports for Development and Peace (UNOSDP)  shared her thoughts and experiences working in sport for development and peace.

Amar Bangladesh by Prof. Dr. Mizanur Rahman

Bangladesh got her independence with the sacrifice of Thirty lakh martyrs and three lakh mothers and sisters who have been tortured by the Paki aggressors. All the citizens had high hopes and dreams for an independent Bangladesh. How much have we been able to fulfill those hopes and dreams?

Respected Dr. Mizanur Rahman (Professor at Law, Dhaka University, former Chairman, National Human Rights Commission, Bangladesh) shared his dream with “Amar (my) Bangladesh”? How can we build the Bangladesh of our dreams by freeing this promising country from national problems?  Sports for Hope and Independence (SHI) has been proud to host Dr. Mizanur Rahman on a virtual session named by “Amar Bangladesh” on 15th July 2020 to educate the younger generation about our history.

Children Education and Sports by Mao Yamaguchi

Sports and physical activities play a vital role in almost all the developmental aspects of child development. Unfortunately, sports and play are rapidly disappearing from schools. As a result, children are suffering from obesity, depression, ADHD, etc. Mao Yamaguchi,  Research Fellow Nippon Sports Science University, Japan conducted a Facebook live session on Children education and sport on 29th June 2020 at 04:00 pm (GMT +6)

Financial Support for SHI players during COVID-19

Sports for Hope and Independence (SHI) value every player and youth leader and count them as a family member. In the time pandemic, SHI understands that players and their families struggling financially as most of our players belong to an underprivileged community. SHI took the initiative to support players in need during the pandemic and supported 110 players financially. We respect our family member’s dignity, so we won’t publish any image of this process.
